a gift

We don’t perhaps think of Christ as a gift. But he was.

When I hear of Christ’s miracles I think of his power. His power is truly a gift as Christ fulfilled prophesy. His name “Immanuel” was given to him many years before he was born. Its meaning is “God with us”.

Christ brings us strength. He brings us comfort. He encourages us to keep moving forward. He reveals the truth to us when we seek it.

Loving Father, You are the source of every blessing in our lives. In our everyday lives we think we know better. We may feel we can go it alone. But please Lord, make us stop for a moment to reflect upon you. Let us see you bring good to the Earth. Amen.
